5 Tips to meditate

Meditation is commonly described as the training of mental attention that awakens us beyond conditioned and habitual thoughts and reveals to us the nature of reality feng shui. In this guide, the process and fruits of the practice of meditation is understood as the “Natural Presence”.

Presence is the full and clear awareness of what is happening here and now and the open space that allows and includes all experience. There are many strategies that promote it that create an atmosphere that leads to deepening presence. The art of practicing is to employ these strategies with curiosity, kindness and a light touch. The wisdom of practicing is to remember that the Natural Presence is here now and always. The loving conscience is our essence.

For some it can mean religious or spiritual connotations, while for others it is an intellectual method to silence the internal bustle and achieve more creative or emotionally positive states.

Although there are more and more people who practice meditation, the truth is that in the West there are still many people who relate the word meditation with religious aspects, with gurus or sectarian practices, if you want to start practicing this, we advise you to follow our advice.

 

  1. A good time to meditate is just getting up or before going to bed, although meditation is a practice that can be done at any time of the day.
  2. Condition a room in your house, in the garden or in some space where you have a certain amplitude and intimacy. Try to be a clean space, with few things, aired, that inspire calm and serenity.
  3. You can meditate in any position, but the lotus position is the most indicated by the placement of the spine. If you find it uncomfortable or you cannot keep your back straight, you can help yourself with cushions or blankets.
  4. Try to wear comfortable, light clothing that allows you to breathe freely, without oppression.
  5. To notice the benefits of meditation is a daily commitment, a routine, a discipline through which meditation becomes a priority.

 

Meditation, practiced correctly, is the simple process of diverting attention from conditions and circumstances that, when one is aware of them and over-identifies with them, fragment and cloud our perceptions. Meditation, if we remain alert and observant, allows us to easily experience pure levels of knowledge and states of consciousness.

Regular practice provides us with frequent opportunities to rest physically and psychologically. Meanwhile, attention is released to explore more refined states of consciousness and to experience, easily and spontaneously, the development of innate spiritual qualities.

Always, whether meditating, or wrapped up in circumstances or in routine activities, it will help you to be aware of the fact that you are immortal, a spiritual being, that is temporarily related to the human condition. While you are in this world, you express yourself as a Spirit-mind-body being, with your spiritual nature remaining superior to the mind and the physical body.
